The 'Biggest moon of 2009' has been responsible for very bright nights lately. The two photos below were taken seconds apart up on Fern Meadow Road. Moon is coming up in the east (so windy and freezing cold--sorry it's fuzzy), and then turned around and caught the sun slipping into the Pacific. Looking closely, you can also see the outline of the Carlsbad power plant against the ocean. Beautiful sky these days on the Mountain Top! ~Bonnie, January 10, 2009
