Mom
Charlotte Rose McCord - Anderson - Hermann
February 22, 1925 - April 20 2011

Have you read the new book "Heaven is For Real"?  It really made Heaven come alive to me.  An amazing story that I enjoyed reading to mom.  She has now met her first great grandbaby,  her twin, and been reunited with all our family and loved ones that have gone before.

Never one of few words, I share with you some of my late night journaling of the last couple months with Mom:

Thank you family and friends for all the lovely notes and remembrances of Mom.

Born at home in Iowa, Mom went to her eternal home Wednesday morning, April 20, 2011.
She was such an inspiration and was loved by many in her 86 fruitful years. She met my Dad, Don Anderson when they were both students at Biola and married in'48.  My brother Tom and wife Penny Anderson, and my husband Don Phelps, grandsons Nathan, Brandon and his wife Heidi, and their three beautiful children, adored by their great grandma; Kiara, Judah and Sunshine, will carry with them the legacy of this wonderful woman.
Mom and Dad were involved in Christian ministry for 40 years including Green Oak Ranch, pastor of Rainbow Valley Community Church and the Valley Center Community Church Dad's last 17 years with Mom at his side.  He arrived in heaven first, in 1988.
In 1989 Mom married a family friend, Dr. Harold Hermann with 5 children and 11 grandchildren and now 9 great grandchildren. Beautiful roses arrived from Harold, with perfect timing her last afternoon  with his card that reads, "Wishing you a special Easter - filled with Christ's abundant love!"  A special Easter indeed!

A celebration of her life was Thursday, April 28th at 2:00 in the Chapel at Emmanuel Faith Community Church in Escondido. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to EFCC in the name of Charlotte Hermann.
